Last summer, I went to Gvozd, Croatia, to volunteer for a non-profit organization called Suncokret (which means Sunflower in English). It was a very interesting and fun two weeks! We got so much accomplished in our short two weeks - we tiedyed, we built a gravel road, made a garden behind the volunteer house, did many arts and crafts, and played hours upon hours of soccer and volleyball!
The last two weeks were spent all over Croatia and Slovenia, which was a very exciting experience for all of us! Our group of 8 girls joined with another group that volunteered in Bosnia, and we headed down to Dubrovnik to move into our home for the next week - The Moja Maya. From there we travelled up the coast and did some of the craziest things, including canyoning, rappelling, caving, and more!
After that, we moved out of Moja Maya and onto our bus! From there we traveled from Split all the way up to Slovenia.
Stay tuned - I'll be adding individual posts for what we did everyday! (Sorry it's taken so long!)
