Movin' right along

March 25 and the trip will be official! Thanks to everyone who has donated - every little bit has helped me get closer to reaching my goal.

I'm really excited because I've been in contact with a few other people going on the same trip as me. It's been nice to get to know them a little bit through e-mail and I am super excited to meet everyone!

I'm taking a group flight with other people volunteering through ISV to Croatia. We're all meeting in New York City on May 29; We're departing at 5:35 p.m. from NYC and will arrive in Munich, Germany at 8:01 a.m. Then from Munich, we fly to Zagreb and will arrive at 12:30 p.m. It's going to be a VERY long day of traveling.

It's been quite a long process - I applied to ISV in the early fall of '08 and since then I've been diligently working to make this happen. Tons of donation letters, envelopes, phone calls, and e-mails later, I'm closer to my goal. ISV has been great helping with the organization of the trip. It really can get overwhelming - especially on top of the fact that I've been very busy at school.
